The Municipal House of Culture of Dorohoi was built in the early 20th century, more particularly in 1902, bearing the name “Athenaeum”. The Municipal House of Culture hosts nowadays the art gallery “Minerva”, comprising 296 exhibits created by linocut and sculpting, in watercolor or ceramics.
Various educational activities, such as violin courses, are organized in this Municipal House of Culture. Moreover, book launches, pop and folk music concerts and festivals that have already become a tradition, such as the National Folk Music Festival “Northeast Folk”, and the festival of winter customs and traditions “Snow Carnival” are frequently hosted here as well.
