“Făgetul Secular” Forest Reservation Stuhoasa is another reserve forest that covers an extensive area of over 60 hectares and comprises several types of centuries-old copper beeches. The scientific name of this species is Fagus sylvatica. The trees in this species reach imposing heights of over 30 m and can live up to 300 years.
The reservation is a protected natural area, included in category 4 – ICUN. This forest area is located in the north-eastern extremity of the land, and it is under the administration of the Forest Division of Dorohoi.
